THE LIBRARY OF YOUNG WRITERS' UNPUBLISHED WORKS AND THE RELATIVE COMPETITION
1. The Commune of Correggio, in the Project "Pier Vittorio Tondelli. La lettura, la scrittura", established, in 1997, the Library of young writers' unpublished works at the following aims:
· To promote the practice of young writing, going on with, so, Pier Vittorio Tondelli's activity;
· To provide young writers with a point of reference giving the chance to them to be read by an unidfferentiated audience;
· To realize an exhibition, up-to-date periodically, of the unpublished young production.
2. Unpublished texts in Italian by authors between 16 and 25 years old, at the delivery of the text, are allowed to the Library of the unpublished works.
3. The Library accepts fiction texts only, in all the different meanings and subgenres.
4. The works will have to be accompained by:
· The application of insertion in the Library of unpublished works, which will have to contain author's personal data (and eventually a short biographical sheet) as well as the declaration that it is an unpublished work and the clear acceptance of the present regulations;
· A shorter than 10 lines descriptive text.
5. The Commune of Correggio declines all responsibility in case of loss, theft, fire, theatrical, cinematographic, literary or different plagiarism of the works.
6. The Commune of Correggio will not put forward any right on the works wheter published. It becomes owner of the sent works.
7. The works will be listed and at disposal of the audiencethrough their insertion in the web site of Centro di Documentazione Tondelli.
8. The unpublished works (which will have to bring at the beginning author's name and title) have to be sent or delivered both in electronic format (floppy disk or cd-rom) and in paper format (2 copies: one bound and the other one untied).
COMPETITION – 3RD EDITION
1. A competition for unpublished texts by young writers is linked to the Library of unpublished works.
2. Unpublished fiction texts in Italian written by authors between 16 and 25 years old inclusive (at the delivery of the text), and arrived at the Commune of Correggio Library of unpublished works from March 1st to September 30th 2005, can compete to the third edition. Should the text be mailed, the postmark date will be considered.
3. In order to take part in the competition it is necessary to apply for it, filling in the proper section contained in the application of insertion in the Library of unpublished works.
4. The Prize consists of the print publication of the winning text.
5. The Prize will be awarded, according to its unqestionable judgement, by a qualified Panel appointed by the Commune of Correggio.
6. The prizegiving ceremony will take place by September 2006.
7. The works (both in paper format and in electronic one) and the applications of participation to the Competition will have to be delivered or sent to: "Premio Tondelli per inediti" presso Biblioteca Comunale di Correggio – Corso Cavour 7 – 42015 Correggio (RE).
